Text messages (SMS)
Last updated: October 10, 2026
Local businesses use ReviewWard to ask their customers how a visit went. If a customer agrees, the business can send them one text message after the visit with a link to a short feedback page on reviewward.com.
What the text looks like
Hi Sarah, thank you for visiting Keytown Locksmith. How was your experience? https://reviewward.com/r/8f3ka92m
Reply STOP to opt out.
How customers agree to receive it
Customers agree out loud, in person, at the business, at the end of their visit. Before ticking the box, the staff member reads this script, which ReviewWard shows right next to the consent box:
SMS consent confirmedRead the wording below aloud and tick this only if they said yes.
“Can I send you one text asking how today went? It comes from [Business Name] through ReviewWard — just the one message for this visit, no marketing. Message and data rates may apply. You can reply HELP any time for help, or STOP to opt out. The terms are at reviewward.com/terms and the privacy policy at reviewward.com/privacy. Is that OK?”
- Consent is recorded on that customer's record with the date and time.
- ReviewWard will not send a text to anyone without a recorded yes.
- Customers imported from a spreadsheet can never be texted; consent must be given in person.
- Phone numbers are never bought, rented, shared between businesses, or sold.
How often
One message per visit. No marketing, no promotions, no recurring texts. Message and data rates may apply.
